The newest free models on OpenRouter I could use without bending any rule (Dots3-Note Preview, Laguna S 2.1, Nemotron 3.5 Lightning) and Claude Haiku 5.5 as a paid reference got the same six short prompts, one request each. Where a file did not load, the model got one repair attempt with its own error message; those cards say so. Everything runs in your browser.
A human life from first heartbeat to old age, every frame drawn by JavaScript on one canvas.
Runs. Paper-cut scenes, a wall clock and a caption for each stage.
Runs. A simple figure and a timeline, very plain.
Runs. A tiny figure on a flat background, with captions.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. The first file did not load. This one opens, but the stage stays empty.
The hardest prompt: thousands of instanced blocks in 3D, a day and night cycle, a fly camera.
Loads and shows its title card, then draws only a black screen. No error in the console.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. The first file crashed (z is not defined); this one crashes with a different error and shows nothing.
Runs, but the scene is a green field and a blue sky. No castle.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. The first file had a syntax error; this one loads and shows a dark blue screen.
The Last Lighthouse: a storm, a sweeping beam, a boat fighting for the harbour, dawn.
Runs. Storm, lightning, waves, a small boat with a lamp.
Runs. Abstract: a night sky with drifting particles.
Does not run (script error on load). Its repair attempt hit the provider's rate limit (HTTP 429) and was not completed.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. Shows a title and a Play button.
An original electric crossover modelled in code: paint, doors, lights, wheels.
Runs. Paint colours, four doors and a tailgate, three wheel sets, lights, night city.
Runs, but the car is almost black and the sky is flat white.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. Does not run: it never told the browser where to find Three.js, and the second attempt made the same mistake.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. Loads the buttons, but no car is drawn.
A stylised driving game on a coast road at sunset.
Runs. A cliff road at sunset, a car, a speedometer. Needed reasoning turned off: at low effort it spent 60,000 tokens twice and returned nothing.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. The first file had a syntax error; this one runs, crudely.
Runs, with flat coloured blocks.
Opens to a start screen.
A step sequencer, synths, drums, effects and a button that composes a song.
Runs. Seven tracks, glowing steps, knobs, an oscilloscope and a spectrum, Generate song.
Runs. A clickable step grid and mood buttons.
Runs. Knobs, a sequencer and a Generate song button.
Second attempt: the model got its own file back plus the browser's error message, once. Still does not run (syntax error).
API cost as billed by OpenRouter. Haiku 5.5 is $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens; the free endpoints cost nothing but may keep and train on the prompts, so only these demo prompts were sent.
| Model | Cost for the six builds (and repairs) | Total generation time |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Haiku 5.5 (paid) | $0.18 | 18 min |
| Dots3-Note Preview (free) | $0.00 (free endpoint) | 10 min |
| Laguna S 2.1 (free) | $0.00 (free endpoint) | 13 min |
| Nemotron 3.5 Lightning (free) | $0.00 (free endpoint) | 30 min |
The exact prompts are for Ruocco Academy members. The Academy is not open yet: join the waiting list and you get one email when it opens. The demos on this page are free to use for everyone.
